Policy MGLS-099-TOS-v2

Terms of Use

Effective September 8, 2026.

Payments are not active yet. No payment information is collected, and no member will be charged automatically.

1. What MGLS is

Mardi Gras Link Studio (“MGLS,” “we,” “us,” or “the service”) is an artist-discovery and link-sharing platform. Members can create a public Studio, share samples of their work, and link visitors to outside websites or services. MGLS is not a marketplace, agent, employer, seller, payment processor, licensing broker, or party to transactions that occur on external websites.

2. Eligibility and account security

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Your content and the permission needed to operate your Studio

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give MGLS a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, copy for backup, resize or otherwise technically process, transmit, moderate, and publicly display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate your Studio and its MGLS directory listing. This permission ends when the content is removed from active service, except for temporary backups, security records, or records reasonably retained for legal or dispute purposes.

MGLS may not use your artwork in off-site advertising without separate permission from you.

You must own what you upload or have permission to display it. That responsibility includes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, recognizable people, music, recordings, performances, and any other rights that apply to the material.

4. External links and transactions

You are responsible for your external links and for the accuracy and legality of what you promote through them. MGLS does not control outside sites. Any sale, commission, booking, payment, tax, delivery, return, refund, license, warranty, or dispute that happens outside MGLS is between the people involved in that outside transaction.

5. Moderation and third-party-rights complaints

MGLS may approve, reject, return to draft, unpublish, restrict, suspend, or remove content or accounts for violations of these Terms or the Content & Linking Rules, safety concerns, legal requirements, suspected abuse, or complaints involving another person’s rights. Moderation does not mean that MGLS endorses, certifies, or verifies any artist, product, service, statement, or claim.

6. Availability and no performance guarantees

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. MGLS does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, any particular search or Artist Parade placement, traffic, sales, bookings, income, or protection against copying or misuse by others. Keep your own copies of important content.

7. Early Access, free trial, and future pricing

The site is currently free because payment processing is not active. Early Access members may use eligible Studio features without using days from their 30-day free trial until MGLS gives notice that the trial period is beginning. No payment information is collected and no member will be charged automatically. Deleting an account and registering again does not restart or extend trial eligibility. Displayed prices describe possible future membership options only. If paid service is later activated, applicable purchase, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms must be presented before a member pays.

8. Account correction, deletion, and termination

You may correct your account information through available account tools or request help through the official contact address below. MGLS provides a member-facing account-deletion option with a confirmation step when that feature is available in the deployed environment. Deleting an account removes its active profile and associated active media, although limited backups, consent records, security records, reports, or other records reasonably needed for legal, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes may remain for a reasonable period.

MGLS may suspend or terminate accounts for material or repeated violations, safety concerns, legal requirements, or abuse of the service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MGLS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service, inability to use the service, external websites, other users, or user content. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited only to the extent the law permits. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

10. North Carolina law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where another law must apply. Any court proceeding relating to these Terms should be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction in North Carolina unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Severability and changes

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. Material changes to these Terms will receive a new version number and effective date. Continued use after a change may require a new acceptance when appropriate.
